The competition was very tense and tough, as the runner-up and the third place winner of the previous European Championships were also competitors.
The student of the Baptist school had a very close match with experienced players, which caused him to finish with 5.5 points in 17th place of 72 participants.
Though Endre is not completely pleased with his results, he said that his ambitions, determination, and his love for the sport increased on this competiton full of challenges.
The intense, continuous pressure, which is on the competitiors at these high-level competitions, tests and develops the thinking of the kids in a special way.
„We’ve collected loads of experience and we had the opportunity to observe our strategy, which requires the development of tactics.” – says Endre’s mom.
From September, the young player will develop his knowlegde on a special training, so he can reach his goals in chess and his talent could be unfolded.
HBAid congratulates Endre!
